About Me
Hello, my name is Colin. I am a counsellor working in Ballincollig, Cork City, and I provide one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy services to adults over the age of 18.
I am a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and as such I work under their ethical guidelines.
I hold a first class honours degree in counselling and psychotherapy from Coventry University and my training was provided by Cork Counselling Services. I have spent the past number of years counselling in a community based counselling centre, I also have experience working in homeless and addiction services.

Counselling Services
I offer counselling and psychotherapy in Ballincollig, Cork City. Counselling and talk therapy is a useful tool when you are experiencing a sense of isolation or disconnection from yourself, others in your life or your world or environment. This can bring about feelings of anxiety, stress, fear or loneliness, to name a few.
I trained in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. I draw from the person centred model which views you the client, as the expert in your life. My training also incorporated Existential and Gestalt therapies and philosophies, and I tailor my apporach to each individual person I sit with. My role as a counsellor is to provide a non-judgmental and confidential space for you to explore the feelings or experiences that have caused you to seek support.
I work with clients collaboratively to try and help to understand your emotional responses to situations, and gain an insight into your way of being. This can be an opportunity to explore your relationship with yourself, others in your life, and broader society.
